I’m Drew.

School stuff, work stuff, and fun stuff.

I’m currently a PhD student at Oregon State University, working toward a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. I also have an MS in Couples & Family Therapy from the University of Oregon, and a Bachelor’s in Classics and Ancient History (also from UO). I do still know how to read Latin and Ancient Greek—it just might take me a little longer than it used to.

I was born and raised in southern Oregon, and was the first person in my family to graduate from a university. I’ve worked in student affairs, marketing, and community mental health. Currently, I have the honor of serving as the assistant dean of students at the University of Oregon, where I direct advocacy services for survivors of sexualized violence and lead the UO’s interdisciplinary student care team.

Beyond my work experience, I write—both as a researcher and creatively. I love cooking, and making and listening to music. I take in the natural beauty of the PNW whenever I can. In the summer, I’m somewhere on the Oregon coast with my husband, scouting a spot to hang up a hammock and read a book.
